Our public service remit

Since 1982, Channel 4 has existed  to stimulate debate; to champion alternative points of view; and to inspire change in people’s lives. We work with independent production companies around the UK creating a space to represent unheard voices. We're defined by our unique public service remit and strive to create innovative programming and content that reflects the UK’s richly diverse cultural landscape.

Workplace Adjustments

As an employee, feeling comfortable and supported in the workplace is key. Sometimes, we all need a little flexibility to perform our roles effectively. This could be as simple as adding features to the workspace or adjusting our schedules to fit in important personal commitments like medical appointments. We are open to discussing and implementing these adjustments to create a positive and inclusive work environment for everyone.

Our Employee Networks

The Channel 4 Equity & Inclusion team  support Channel 4's employee networks. These are safe spaces where our workforce can find a sense of community and allyship. Each one is run voluntarily by a number of employees who manage the network.
