295,000 of the smartest minds

People at Siemens are thinkers, dreamers and doers. That’s why we recruit people with more than just a passion for disruptive ideas – they must also have the courage to bring them to life.

We believe those ideas can come from anywhere. It’s how we design and implement over 7,600 different inventions around the world each year. Some emerged from our 36-hour hackathons, others were simply thought of while sitting outside in our cafe. There’s no working behind closed doors here. We invite everyone to work collaboratively and act as if Siemens were their own company – it’s all part of our ownership culture.

Great minds think differently

We believe diversity creates more opportunity for success. That’s why we recruit great minds from all walks of life: it doesn’t matter the gender, age, ethnic background, sexual orientation or disability. Our main aim is to find people from around the globe who can contribute to world-changing technology.

Siemens Disability Network: Ambition – Disable the label

Last year Siemens launched our new Disability Network "Amibition - Disable the label" with the aim to build greater awareness of disability (both visible and non-visible) within the organisation, and to give individuals who have a disability or health condition the confidence to be themselves at work; to normalise the topic and to create an adaptable, supportive work environment.

To celebrate the launch of the Ambition network, we invited Diverse Matters founder, Yasmin Sheikh to join us to talk about disability. This 60m session sparked an open and honest conversation about disability, challenging us to change our behaviours, as individuals and as an organisation, to be more disability inclusive.

To mark International Day of People with Disabilities, Siemens held a panel discussion on 3rd December with internal colleagues to understand more about what we can do to make Siemens an inclusive place to work for those with disabilities or health conditions.

We’re proud to be recognised as a Disability Confident Employer, and are working towards a culture where all employees feel confident to be themselves at work, fulfilling their potential. We will ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform essential job functions, and to receive other benefits and privileges of employment.
