Access Services Co-Ordinator

35 hours per week over 5 days

The Health Records Department is looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual with an eye for detail to work in the Access Services Department within Health Records.

The post holder would need to possess excellent organisational skills and have an eye for detail. You will be expected to work as part of a small team supporting the Subject Access Request Department at Hinchingbrooke Hospital and on occasions you may be required to work at Peterborough City Hospital.

You will be responsible for accurately processing and responding to applications within set timeframes for Access to Health Records.

Recent experience in an administrative role, involving regular use of IT and previous knowledge of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) would be advantageous as would working in a hospital environment.

Good communication skills are essential as part of the role will be dealing with enquiries from a variety of sources, this includes patient's, their families and other representatives (solicitors/insurance), face to face or by phone and email. Some of these enquires will be of a sensitive nature and confidentiality is paramount.
