What will I be doing?

Preparation & Tracking of Current Account charges for HS2 Main Works.

  • Understand requirements of Joint Venture Agreement and ensure partner compliance
  • Check all costs prior to raising invoices and redirect non-complient costs to the appropriate Costain department.
  • Raise monthly Current Account invoices ( Staff , Other & Fee Based Costs )
  • Ensure correct alllocation of I.T equipment & user account charges ( AMS )
  • Gain SCS JV Board approval via the SCS Finance Director for all changes to the agreed schedule of charges.
  • Ensure timeley completion of Timesheets and escalate non compliance accordingly
  • Maintain accurate back up to support invoiced costs and provide evidence as required.
  • Support Client / Partner Cost Audits
  • Timely resolution of queries relating to invoiced costs and raise Credit Notes as required
  • Take neccessary action to prevent reccurence of incorrect cost allocations
  • Support Divisional & Group Finance with resolution of other JV Current Account issues as and when required.

About you

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
  • Demonstrable financial controls acumen
  • Practical approach, logical thought process and a methodical way of working
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Previous experience of site accounting processes
  • Knowledge of Costain accounting system E1 is essential
  • Knowledge of Excel required e.g. strong ability to use formulas
  • Experience working with Time management systems
  • Desireable - Accountancy qualification achieved or professional study being undertaken.
