 The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the Accounts Payable Department. He/she ensures timely and accurate payment of invoices and expense reports and reviews reports for performance and process improvement. This position must be able to rely on their extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. They perform a wide variety of tasks, including the leading, developing, and coaching of others. This position must exhibit a commitment to excellence and hold their team to high standards in all areas.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Leadership Team.Monitoring workflow queues throughout the dayReviewing daily and monthly reports with AP SupervisorsCoach Accounts Payable team members through invoicing and support processesProvide leadership and timely feedbackComplete special projects as requiredCoordinate and communicate with field operations and suppliers as necessaryMaintaining acceptable backlogs and working with leadership to improve processes and distribution of workloadCreates and holds Accounts Payable Team accountable to performance measurements and targetsPromotes a team orientated work environmentCompletes performance measures and targets, supports continuous improvement efforts Emphasizing excellence with internal and external customer support

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESDemonstrated working knowledge of Accounts Payable best practices.Ability to lead, coach, and develop a diverse teamExcellent written, verbal, and presentation skillsPositive attitudeProven decision making and analytical skillsEnsure confidentiality of sensitive informationStrong customer service skills to interact professionally with internal and external customers and ensure interaction provides a high quality of serviceWell organized and able to manage multiple tasksAbility to adapt to a variety of situationsExcellent attention to detailMINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with Accounting major preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.Years of Experience: 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience expected, though candidates with fewer years may be considered based on specific professional experience and the strength of relevant academic credentials. Minimum 3 years of leadership experience required.MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE USED:Experience in SAP or similar ERPProficient with entire Microsoft Office Suite / Google app platformTYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Constantly sits while working at the computerConstantly reaches forward to answer the telephone and to use the computerFrequently power grasps the telephone; frequently finger presses to operate the computer keyboard, calculator, and telephone keypad, frequently pulp pinches to handle papersPossesses speaking skills and hearing ability to interact with customers on the telephoneSome travel may be required
