Description
 The AP Reporting Analyst is responsible for AP reporting and reconciliation activities for all Veolia companies in North America. He/she provides timely and accurate reporting and reconciliation on a regular basis (daily through annually, as well as ad hoc) and is involved with internal and external audits.  This person exhibits a commitment to excellence and fosters initiative, adaptability, creativity and teamwork. The AP Reporting Analyst will work with leadership to provide accurate data, help identify training needs and department trends, and may assist in resolve problems.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / JOB DUTIESCreate and maintain a catalog of accurate and timely AP reportsAccurately reconcile special programs such as the Buyer Initiated Payments (BIP) Program, JP Morgan Single-Use Accounts, telecom billing, and any new programs that are introducedCreate and maintain department documentation related to reporting and reconciliationWork with AP Quality Assurance Manager to refine processes to support continuous improvement effortsAssist in the development of performance metrics for all areas of the AP DepartmentServe as a lead resource for internal and external auditsDemonstrate effective oral and written communication skills with good vocabulary, good grammar and the ability to independently compose routine written communicationsWork with leadership to ensure AP communications are clear, accurate, customer focused and helpfulDemonstrate ability to pay close attention to details, and present good planning, organization, and time management skillsMust have the ability to handle diverse tasks simultaneously and be able to work effectively with interruptionsMust have the ability to handle confidential or sensitive information or issuesMust demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readilyCross-train with other AP functions maximize workforce flexibilityComplete special projects as requiredKNOWLEDGE / SKILLSEducation BackgroundBachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration a plus1-2 years of related work experienceJob Skills / CharacteristicsDetail orientedStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to organize and manage varying tasksAbility to work autonomouslyComprehensive working knowledge of Accounts Payable processes andgeneral accounting conceptsExceptional working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on ExcelWORK ENVIRONMENT & DEMANDSWork Environment:Office environmentAdequate lighting, comfortable temperatures, and a low noise level
