We are looking for an experienced administrator to provide support to the Trust.

East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust provide services to the local community to around 500,000 people, with the regional cancer centre supporting around 2 million people. They provide care to the community with an annual budget of around £350 million and more than 5,000 staff.

We have long term placement opportunities available for a temporary administrator available at Lister Hospital, Stevenage.

Responsibilities will cover several areas such as;
To identify patients on the Patient Administration System. And CIPTS To input patients for appointment dates and times and ensure accurate and current details concerning patients, G.P's, Consultants and operation details and also additions to the Waiting List are entered onto the Patient Administration System and CIPTS To ensure that patients are notified of their date and Attendance with adequate notice and, where appropriate, Transport requirements are arranged. Assist with the Despatch of letters summoning patients for admission To ensure that all patients case notes required for patients attending for their procedures/operations are traced and prepared in advance of the date of attendance and that the relevant documentation is available for use by clinical and nursing staff. Assist with any queries from the patient and / or their accompanying friends relatives, in a polite and courteous manner. Admit and discharge all patients and record any patient who failed to attend or cancelled their appointments onto the Patient Administration System. Assist with telephone enquiries relating to patients admission, expected discharge times and Waiting Lists queries.
This role is full-time, Monday to Friday 9:00 - 17:00.
