Administration Assistant -

We are looking for an experienced, highly energised and motivated individual to join FSCS as a Administration Assistant.  The ideal candidate will be obsessed with delivering a great service for our customers which supports them throughout their journey with FSCS.

We are looking for a capable individual with financial services experience who learns fast and wants to develop their financial services knowledge further.

FSCS is a long-established organisation with an enviable reputation for quality and success. We protect consumers when financial services firms fail. What will the role holder deliver -

  • Effective administrative support to Technical Claims Team

  • Support team to achieve its goals and priorities

  • Value for Money benefits delivered (either hard cost savings or non-financial benefits such as risk reduction or improved customer outcomes)

Administrative Support for the Technical Claims Team  

  • Day to day management of the team’s inboxes and incoming system enquiries

  • Complete administrative tasks within FSCS systems, liaising with our outsourcing partners

  • Assign more complex queries accurately within the team and the FSCS

  • Provide administrative support for Thematic issues

  • Reload failed payment lines in FSCS systems

  • Support the delivery of specific deposits activity as required

  • Process invoices and create purchase orders

  • Arrange team meetings


  • Take on support tasks allocated by your manager.

  • Ensure that any required statistics are maintained in the required format

  • Undertake ad-hoc projects as and when required

 The role holder may be required to work off-site which may involve being away from home overnight.

What skills or experience are needed -

  • Demonstrate knowledge of Financial Services and the products FSCS deals with
  • Demonstrate strong administration skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools
