Are you collaborative, caring and compassionate?

Prisons are one of the most challenging, yet rewarding places for healthcare professionals to work - if you're looking for a role where you can develop your existing skills and learn something new every day, then this is the place to be.

HMP Bure is a category C male prison built on part of the former RAF Coltishall site, 7 miles north of Norwich. The prison was constructed throughout 2009 and currently holds 650+ prisoners. HMP Bure has residential units and a full healthcare unit.

Practice Plus Group are Health in Justice Market leader, providing healthcare services to offenders across the country. Our model of care is our Wellbeing Approach - an integrated, comprehensive approach in recognition of the fact prisoners are a socially-excluded group with healthcare needs which are complex and often associated with poor outcomes. It adopts the premise no single health/wellbeing factor can be taken in isolation of other motivational issues which might impact a person's care.

To ensure the continued quality of care at HMP Bure we're looking for an Administrator to support the team.

In return for your hard work you will...

Receive a salary of up to £19,000 - dependent on experience. You'll also get a number of benefits including a company contributory pension scheme, 25 days annual leave plus 8 public bank holidays.

Other benefits include cycle to work scheme plus training and development opportunities.

What do we need from you so you can do the job?

You'll be carrying out general administrative duties within the healthcare department of the prison. Working within set routines, policies and procedures to provide a comprehensive high quality service to the unit, and able to deal efficiently and courteously with patients and staff enquiries.

A key responsibility is the collection and collation of accurate service performance data for internal and external reporting requirements.

The situation in the prison can change at any minute. You need to be able to communicate effectively, work as part of a team and follow instruction diligently.

It's this variety that keeps things fresh and stimulating. Every day will bring new challenges and new experiences but you'll have all the support you need to deliver the best practice possible from both the healthcare team and the prison team.

You'll need to be confident in a prison setting as the office will be based in Healthcare, off a prison wing.
