Advanced Health Improvement Specialist (Long Term Conditions & Cancer)

T his is an exciting opportunity to join the Office of the Director of Public Health in Leeds the third largest and one of the fastest growing cities in the UK.

The successful candidate will take forward and lead key areas of multi-agency public health work from the Long Term Conditions and Cancer Teams to improve health and reduce inequalities. This will include the commissioning and development of both the NHS Health Checks programme and Leeds Cancer Awareness Service.

You would be required to have good communications skills with the ability to communicate complex issues and information to a wide range of people in different situations and formats. Knowledge of specialist public health acquired through a Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health or related field plus experience of project management of public health programmes is essential.
