The Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust provides acute treatment and care for a catchment population of around 500,000 people in Bath, North East Somerset and West Wiltshire. An opportunity has arisen to appoint an Advanced Orthopaedic Practitioner with an interest in Paediatric care. The aim of the team is to improve the patient pathway, and flow throughout all phases of admission and discharge, whilst ensuring excellent patient care. We are looking for a nurse who is willing to challenge traditional models of care, deliver new ways of working and improve the patient experience to join our strong specialty team.

The post holder will work at an advanced level, performing tasks that have been previously undertaken by medical and/or technical staff. Staff will work to ensure smooth patient transitions between The Emergency Department, Theatre, In Patient Ward areas and Orthopaedic Out Patients.

If you are enthusiastic and feel that you could contribute to this dynamic speciality, have significant post registration training and are able to work flexibly - this may be the post for you. To succeed in this role you will need a sound understanding of Trauma and Orthopaedics, together with a real flair for change.
