An exciting opportunity has arisen within Moorfields Eye Hospital at Bedford Hospital for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to work alongside a triumvirate senior management team with the Clinical Director and the Matron.

It is an exciting time for the Trust with potential expansion plans, service redesign and transformation work both internally and externally, linking in with CCGs and community service pathways; including redevelopment of services post-COVID. As part of the Trust's clinical sub-specialty strategies, the post-holder will be expected to play a key role in leading innovation and modernisation within their network sites. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent problem solving skills as well as coping with conflicting pressures.

The post holder will be expected to manage the RTT performance targets, financial and HR management and clinical and quality governance as part of their day-to-day work portfolio. The successful candidate will provide excellent operational leadership to deliver high quality ophthalmology services to our patients.

We are looking for candidates with excellent communication skills and the ability to be able to establish their credibility at all levels internally and externally, and be able to quickly build relationships within their own team and the wider organisation.

The post is full time, permanent and is based at Bedford Hospital. Some travel to Moorfields at City Rd, London may be required however travel costs will be reimbursed.
