We are currently looking for two Assistant National Lottery Regulatory Managers to play an integral support role in the regulation of the operator of The National Lottery for contracts until the 31st March 2022. Internally, this role is called Assistant Licensing Manager.

The Role

As an Assistant National Lottery Regulatory Manager, you will be tasked with forming part of the National Lottery Third Licence team that leads on and provide support for a range of initiatives and projects.

Specifically, you will support the team in the delivery of its regulatory duties, ensuring that players are protected, returns to good causes are optimised and the National Lottery is run properly.

Additionally, you will:

- Identify and assess regulatory risks and issues and make recommendations
- Take the lead on performance monitoring and reporting for the programme as a whole
- Take responsibility for the co-ordination and governance of projects
- Carry out targeted analysis and research on specific areas
- Lead on thematic reviews where a more in depth understanding of emerging risks and issues is required
- Support other team members
- Prepare and co-ordinate presentations for Committee and wider stakeholders

About You

To be considered as an Assistant National Lottery Regulatory Manager, you will need:

- The ability to analyse and understand non-complex licensing proposals, or specific elements of more complex proposals, and interpret evidence swiftly – this could include financial and quantitative information
- The ability to seek advice from, collate and interpret the views of colleagues and other stakeholders as required to help with decision making
- The ability to identify well-reasoned and pragmatic recommendations on how to proceed
