This role entails…

As an Assistant Production Technology Support Engineer you will be responsible for supporting systems and applications that form part of ITV Studios programme and content creation as well as supporting the Production Technology Support Engineers in their duties. This role requires an individual who is able to adapt quickly and respond to a constantly changing fast-paced production environment.


To be considered for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate the following skills:

Minimum role criteria:

  • Be able to identify when a problem may require escalation.

  • Whenever possible increase and improve technical knowledge, where relevant to the job.

  • Help Desk / Technical support experience.

  • Experience in supporting at least two of the following production systems highly desirable; AVID, Adobe Creative Cloud, VidChecker, Pixel Factory, Vantage.

  • Experience of Windows, Linux and MacOS systems

  • Experience in supporting a varied set of applications on varying infrastructures i.e. On prem, Cloud, SaaS, DC.

  • Experience of Signiant, Aspera or File Catalyst

  • Background in Production Support of value

The Key role criteria is as follows:

You will assist in the support of ITV Studios technology and provide services and support to a wide customer base. The extent of your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Shift based support of ITV Studio technology to timely log, diagnose and resolve incidents on core ITV Studio technology

  • Triage of incidents that come into the Production Technology Support team

  • System administration of ITV Studios technology,

including but not limited to:

â—‹ User Management

â—‹ Daily system checks

â—‹ Backups

â—‹ Media/File management

  • Manage system capacity as appropriate

  • Support production media workflows ensuring ITV data

  • Establish and maintain relationships with the ITV
