It is an exciting time for HM Land Registry (HMLR) as we continue to embark on a major transformation programme. HMLR's ambition is to become the world’s leading land registry for speed, simplicity and an open approach to data. 

We are now looking for Associate Data Analysts to join our Digital, Data and Technology team to help us to achieve this.

Job description

As an Associate Data Analyst you will primarily be working as part of the Local Land Charges (LLC) quality assurance team. You will be responsible for supporting the migration and transformation of Local Authority Local Land Charges (LLC) data into the HM Land Registry LLC register. To do this, you will evaluate the accuracy, completeness and conformance of the supplied data at a variety of predesignated check points. You will assimilate output from the quality tests and feed findings into the wider quality assurance team, identifying trends and provide evidence to support recommendations and decisions across the program.


To meet the requirements of this role you will have the ability to analyse a variety of textual and spatial datasets against defined standards. You will also be able to interpret quality standards and quality assurance outputs to identify where automated validation routines can be introduced and/or enhanced. 

In addition you will have experience of delivering data quality analysis based on defined requirements and developing automated QA routines in FME, VBA, python or similar. 

The Digital, Data and Technology Directorate is the in-house IT division for HMLR. We are currently recruiting several roles to ensure the directorate’s teams contain the right blend of skills, experience and knowledge to take our major transformation programme forward. The final selection stage will consist of a blended interview and a presentation exercise. 

The sift will take place Monday 18 and Tuesday 19 November 2019. 

Interviews will take place week commencing Monday 2 December 2019.
