A career in our Assurance Transformation Centre of Excellence practice, within Assurance Transformation Services, will provide you with the opportunity to be responsible for developing functions in PwC that support audit engagement teams and audit quality efforts. You'll focus on enhancing our services related to data auditing, business analytics, visualisation and leveraging of analytic technologies to evaluating complex Enterprise Systems for audit and non audit services.As part of our team, you'll work with a broad and diverse range of clients, providing you with exposure to businesses of varying sizes, industries and complexity. You'll use cutting edge technology working virtually on various audit engagements. You'll develop specialist Assurance knowledge and play a key role in improving the quality and efficiency of our audits and lead innovation in a range of areas, with an initial focus on pensions assets and liabilities, share based payments, and the audit of Tax.
Job Description

Audit Transformation (AT) continues to play an increasingly critical role in evolving how we deliver our external audit services, in response to both internal and external opportunities and challenges, in order to:
  • Continue to enhance the quality of the work we do;
  • Lower the cost of delivery; and
  • Evolve the working experience of our partners and staff.

To help drive transformation efforts, and better support our business through this transformation, AT an Associate to help support in driving change across:

Methodology: Simplify the execution of our methodology, and how we implement methodology changes

Distributed delivery model: Review how we deliver our audits, aligned to quality, commercial and people objectives

Breaking the Audit Cycle: Continuing to evolve and improve how we plan, structure and deliver our audits

Digital: Accelerate the digitisation of what we do, and how we do it.

These priorities impact or are dependent upon the breadth of our audit business, and as such we seek individuals who have, or are looking to build, a range of different transferable skill sets or experiences. Including, for example:
  • Audit technical
  • Risk and quality
  • Change management / business implementation
  • Digital / Data
  • Project management

The chosen individuals will have the opportunity to:
  • Be part of essential change management programmes aligned to the areas above;
  • Utilise existing skill-sets and build transferrable new ones, beyond those typically available as part of front-line audit delivery teams;
  • Develop new and broaden existing networks across the UK firm; and
  • Work flexibly from their base location anywhere in the UK.

Within Audit Transformation you will:
  • Work as part of a team on a variety of transformation projects, providing project administration support;
  • Work on and manage the creation of digital collateral/content to be shared internally with front line delivery teams;
  • Manage projects briefed to the Service Delivery Centre, ensuring all projects are delivered on time and to agreed scope;
  • Enhance your problem solving capabilities, to help identify and solve business problems;
  • Drive and support business implementation and change management efforts;
  • Work to time pressured deadlines whilst maintaining high attention to detail;
  • Build unparalleled networks, across the UK and Global Audit business and supporting functions;

Successful candidates will have / be:
  • Dynamic and agile, able to respond seamlessly to shifting priorities;
  • The ability to prioritise your time effectively, and respond appropriately to conflicting priorities;
  • Good written and oral communication skills;
  • The ability to think differently and creatively, and not be afraid to 'challenge the status quo';
  • An understanding of how an audit works;
  • Excellent organisational / project management skills;
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to operate both independently and as part of a team (as needed);
  • Good attention to detail and a focus on quality;
  • An interest in utilising and/or building new skills to support transformational change in our business;

This role offers the potential for flexible working. It is expected, at most, only very minimal travel.
