Customer Development (Sales) makes sure that shoppers can find our brands, wherever and whenever they want them. We are responsible for building and growing relationships with our customers, predicting tomorrow's shopping trends and identifying exciting new ways to make Unilever products stand out in a crowded market. ​ CD is where it all happens; whether it’s working with Supply Chain to get stock on shelf at the right size, price and for the right shopper occasions, or with Marketing to drive new campaigns forward and selling to our retailers. ​

Tea Business

Unilever is proud of its Tea business, the biggest in the world, with world class purpose driven brands such as Lipton, PG tips and Pukka. Recently, Unilever decided to separate the Tea business to ensure it can best achieve its potential. Unilever is currently reviewing several options for separation, including a demerger, an initial public offering, a disposal or through partnership models. The Tea businesses in India and Indonesia, and the partnership interests in the ready-to-drink Tea joint ventures will be retained. 

The balance of the Tea brands and geographies and all Tea estates, with generated revenues of €2 billion in 2019, is growing and profitable with proven potential both pre- and post-COVID-19. As a standalone entity, the Tea company remains number one in the world and is even better positioned to lead the industry and take full advantage of the opportunities in the category, with more focus and entrepreneurship driving greater growth and value.

Job Purpose

As an away from home Sales Rep, you will be responsible for the day to day management of customers within a particular geographical region. Through building and maintaining customer relationships, you will be driven to increase sales growth and hit profit targets within your customer base. These customers will be very diverse and will consist of wholesalers, Cash and Carry’s, distributers, buying group members and national account outlets.

Your role in owning, developing and delivering joint business plans with our customers is dependent on your ability to communicate well both written and orally, as well as your passion for driving business growth. Please note there will be 2 positions, one will cover east coast, including Northern Ireland, and ideally be Dublin based. The other will cover the West coast.

Responsibilities

Developing and delivering an annual business plans through collaboration with key customers
Taking responsibility for the execution of digital promotional mechanics.
Delivering the agreed targets within this trade promotional spend.
Maintain a depth and breadth of contact across all customers and team members.
Manage all accruals and promotional spend to agreed budgets, as well as ensuring that incentives (including discounts and vouchers) are allocated responsibly
Manage logistic efficiency terms movements

All About You

• Experience in end user sales / distributive accounts

• Good communication and negotiation skills

• A demonstrable passion for customer needs, and examples of where you have put the customer or clients need at the core of your role and delivery

• Be Able to Deliver annual individual goal plan, sales growth, profit targets.

Tea Business:
