We're looking for a skilled Botanical Horticulturist to begin a rewarding career with us at Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.

This role is part of the Garden Section in the Arboretum, Gardens and Horticultural Services Department in the Kew Gardens, Horticulture Directorate, which cultivates the hardy outdoor herbaceous and woody plant collections.

The collections and displays aim for high horticultural standards and contribute to visitor enjoyment and education, as well as supporting Kew science by providing living plant material for research and conservation programmes.


To be successful in this role you'll need to have some experience of working in horticulture, caring for a range of outdoor plants with a particular interest in woody plants, trees and shrubs. It is essential that you are fit and able to carry out manual tasks such as digging and lifting.

You’ll also need to have a basic understanding of Health and Safety as you will be learning about the use and maintenance of machinery. As a team member it is vital that you are a good communicator and can follow instructions.

The salary will be £19,750 per annum.
