The Role / Position Overview

Support the FT's global brand and communications programme in the Asia Pacific. This role reports to the regional Brand & Communications Executive, based in Hong Kong.

Key Responsibilities

Global Communications

  • Assist with the drafting of materials from media pitches to blog posts

  • Assist with media monitoring and social media listening

  • Assist with media list compilation and influencer profiling

  • Maintain calendar of speaking engagements in the Asia Pacific, and help identify future opportunities for key spokespeople 

  • Assist with competitor and industry research

Corporate & Employee Communications

  • Assist with the coordination of internal staff events from conception to execution

  • Create internal communication materials, such as staff newsletters and updates 

  • Collaborate with the design team to create visual assets

Brand & Partnerships

  • Support the brand partnerships programme by reviewing incoming requests and researching key opportunities

  • Assist with the delivery of brand partnerships and experiences, including branding, speaking opportunities, activations, logistics and marketing offers.

  • Maintain record of results and value delivered through brand partnerships

Required Skills / Experience

  • Interest in pursuing a career in brand, communications, public affairs or related area. 

  • A strong interest in current affairs, news and digital media. 

  • Excellent communications skills and fluency in written/spoken English.

  • The ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Self-starter with a collaborative approach to work.
