JOB SCOPE

The streaming Marketing team is looking for a Brand, Service & Editorial Marketing Sr Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for building a world-class customer brand and supporting exceptional growth of the service in tight time-frames. You will also be responsible for the local publishing strategy, ideation, concept development and production across our social media channels and beyond. You'll need to be a storyteller at heart and have excellent judgement to balance audience interests with the needs of our business.

The successful person will be a brilliantly talented strategist with a passion for deeply understanding customers and translating that knowledge into actionable results. This role must bring together their right- and left-brain acumen to uncover insights and creative inspiration to help find new perspectives on our streaming brand and what it means for customers. You'll be passionately customer-centric and have a deep portfolio that demonstrates a track record of bringing strategic thinking and focus to marketing, advertising, and customer acquisition objectives.

OBJECTIVES & FUNCTIONS
  • Work closely with global teams and local marketing teams to build a strong, locally relevant brand
  • Strong project manager with the ability to engage productively and successfully with key stakeholders across creative, media, marketing, product, research & measurement teams
  • Be the strategic leader in working with internal/external partners on brand development, and ensure a cohesive brand proposition is presented to our customers
  • Work with x-functional leadership in marketing, publicity and beyond to shape the country's go-to-market strategy
  • Develop an editorial and publishing strategy and unique tone and perspective for our audiences across key social media platforms and beyond.
  • Lead an external team of specialists in raising the bar on social media and community building
  • Translate internal and external research into insight that powers service marketing and advertising strategies
  • Owner of service marketing linked to education around the streaming service and features (ex: Language UIs)
  • Lead brainstorms, mentor external creative vendors, give relevant creative notes and final approval.
  • Manage a slate of ideas and the editorial process with internal and external resources.
  • Ideate and create content with a strong hook, point of view, and personality. You're full of ideas and innovative approaches to format, structure and presentation of these.
  • Build and cultivate relevance and credibility with key local audiences.
  • Use internal and external social analytics and other internal data to inform strategy and detect new opportunities.
  • Stay on top of trends, timely events, and upcoming title launches to seize on reactive opportunities for this audience.
  • Partner with talent, PR/Comms, and influencers to effectively set context and build trust.
  • Be experimental with content; take risks with what you're creating; be ambitious and original.
QUALIFICATIONS:

WHAT IS REQUIRED?
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in creative brand/editorial/social
  • Experience also in media and subscription would be a plus.
  • Capacity to collaborate with different areas involved in the streaming initiatives.
  • Experience with an entertainment / content business leading the brand and product marketing mandates would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of marketing methods and strategies; experience planning, developing and executing complex marketing programs
  • A creative nature. You are constantly looking for new ways to delight and inspire audiences.
  • An exceptional storyteller. You have proven ability to concept and produce high-quality social and A/V content. And you're good at it.
  • Experience in in content creation at a brand or outlet before is a plus, but more importantly, you are spending tons of time on consuming video content personally.
  • Sophisticated understanding of online social platforms and the native formats that work on each.
  • Great editorial judgement and ability to find and know what's trending with our audience. You can find the story, angle and point of view to tell different stories and do so through video storytelling.
  • Capacity to coordinate with International, and with different teams preferred.
  • Ability and flexibility to adapt to changes in schedules and delivery. Understanding of overall cross-platform attribution.
  • Excellent data analysis skills, analytical mind and curious/entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Excellent proficiency in verbal and written communication in English.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, entrepreneurial mindset and resilient spirit with experience navigating cross-functional organizations
PREFERRED SKILLS
  • Knowledge in TV Content.
  • Consumer of entertainment content and interest in it.
  • Content market experience.
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
EDUCATION
  • BS/BA in related field preferred.
  • Master's degree in a related field (is a bonus)
