We are recruiting a Business Administration Apprentice to work in our Regional Business Management Team in the east of England (EoE).

Based in the EoE, the postholder will provide excellent business administration service to the local senior management team. This is a varied administrative post and is crucial to the success of team. It is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to start their career in the NHS.

Key duties will include:
  • Supporting the Regional Director's team with diary management including scheduling and supporting meetings. This will also include supporting the Regional Director's PA in managing his diary and commitments.
  • Collecting data/articles etc. and uploading/storing as appropriate
  • Ensuring hard copy and electronic files are maintained
  • Maintaining contact lists
  • Answering phone calls on behalf of the team, signposting and taking messages as appropriate.
  • Working from a generic mailbox and in line with instructions provided
  • Responding to email and telephone queries
  • Supporting the organisation of events as required.
  • Liaison with relevant stakeholders, wider team members and managers.
  • Provide appropriate support to colleagues and Managers as requested in line with HEE values and behaviours and the functions of the team and provide cover for colleagues as necessary to ensure business continuity.
  • Share good practice within the team and follow appropriate guidance and processes as instructed. Contribute to efforts within the team to continually improve our performance.
The postholder will be supported to complete the Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship. This is an exciting opportunity to develop highly transferable skills, knowledge and behaviours and can be applied in all sectors.

Whilst the requirements/responsibilities of the role are described in the attached Job Description, the postholder will be expected to be flexible and will be required to undertake duties outside of this from time to time.
