DESCRIPTION

Amazon is looking for an outstanding Business Analyst to join EU ATS (Amazon Transportation Services) ACES (Amazon Customer Excellence System) team. In order to evaluate the performance of the business and make the best forward looking decisions, we need to store and analyze huge sets of data related to transportation and sort centers. We need to make sure that this data is stored efficiently and can be retrieved as fast as possible. Rapidly increasing data volume and complexity makes this a constant challenge and therefore an exciting place to work in!
We are looking for someone striving to make a difference in how we store and retrieve data sets, and build scalable systems able to cope with vast amounts of data. For that, we need exceptional people with outstanding ETL skills and a good understanding of data flows.
Main responsibilities will include:
· Working with internal customers to understand their needs and design, review and implement schema designs to meet those needs
· Creating ETL solutions with a focus on ensuring data quality
· Ability to run SQL queries on complex ETL infrastructure
· Design and build basic tools and analysis that help drive operational decisions
· Create and modify Tableau visualizations

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Basic qualifications:
· Bachelor Degree in a quantitative field (preferred are Computer Science, Information Management, Mathematics, Business Informatics)
· Advanced analytical skills and strong detail-orientation
· Experience with basic SQL, Excel VBA
· Candidate must be very high on ownership, customer obsession and bias for action
· Experience profiling data and researching possible data quality issues
· Ability to deep dive datasets and find abnormalities/patterns/trends

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred qualifications:
· Experience with reporting tools like Tableau or other BI tools.
· Experience in advanced SQL
· Experience designing and operating very large datasets
· Experience with scripting and common program languages (e.g., Unix shell scripting, Python, Perl, Ruby, Java).
