As part of a 50-strong Business Development department, the Clients & Markets team is at the heart of the firms’ vision to deliver distinctive client experience. The team is responsible for outstanding business development support, client service delivery, sector-focus, client-focused growth and other major firm-wide initiatives that are central to the firms’ ambitious growth plans. As a result, there are many opportunities within this role to work closely with our partners and other internal clients as well as external clients. Main Purpose of role:

To directly support the Head of Clients & Markets and to provide an administrative resource for the whole Clients & Markets team, including the various strategic projects which Clients & Markets leads or participates in. The role will be based in London but travel to Birmingham will be expected from time to time.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

§ Providing administrative support to the Clients & Markets team, the Head of Clients & Markets, such as scheduling and managing team meetings, taking minutes and managing follow up

§ Supporting and helping with the administration of the firm's key account programme, including regular and ad hoc reporting and analysis

§ Mapping secondments and assisting with secondee process management

§ Dealing with new business enquiries

§ Team induction and on-boarding process for new starters

§ Attendance at the firms' People First meetings acting as the BD team representative.

§ Supporting the team in the organisation and delivery of projects in which the Clients & Markets team is involved or leads

§ Liaising with the CRM team to help maximise successful reporting and analysis with InterAction

§ BD budget management/tracking

§ Events support from time to time

§ Ad hoc support to London-based BD team members

§ Arranging, attending and note-taking at other meetings as required

§ Any other reasonable duties delegated by any Partner, Senior Manager or other key stakeholder in the firm


Key Requirements, Skills and Experience:

§ A self-motivated, positive team player with initiative, a can-do approach and able to build rapport at all levels

§ Excellent attention to detail with outstanding grammar and communication skills

§ Numerate and able to process and analyse financial data into key findings

§ Organisational and project management skills

§ Able to work within tight deadlines, demonstrating a flexible approach to deliver tasks and projects to time and with high quality outputs

§ Curiosity, drive and a desire to learn new skills and ideas

§ Happy to support other individuals and teams when needed

§ Solid IT skills, with extensive experience of Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Standard hours of work are 9.30 am to 5.30 pm Monday to Friday with 1 hour for lunch (35 hours per week).
