Main Purpose of role:

To directly support Business Development Managers (BDMs) and take responsibility for tasks contributing to the delivery of the firms' client strategy and sector focus. The role will be based in Birmingham and travel to London will be expected from time to time.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

§ Supporting the Senior Business Development Manager for Real Estate with the creation of business development plans, liaising with fee-earners and other parts of the firm as needed

§ Researching markets, hot topics and target clients

§ Management of CRM database such as setting up the sales pipeline for the RE sector

§ Management of Real Estate transaction tracking process to deliver timely information on deal completions for pitches, creds, PR, awards, etc.

§ Ensuring client information is accurate on key systems such as Practice Management System and CRM Database to provide accurate financial, relationship and pipeline reporting

§ BD budget management/tracking

§ Events support from time to time

§ Attending and contributing to sector meetings

§ Supporting the wider business development team as appropriate (including corporate communications and bids)

§ Any other reasonable duties delegated by any Partner, Senior Manager or Group Support Manager of the firm


Key Requirements, Skills and Experience:

§ Excellent organisational and project management skills with outstanding written accuracy and communication

§ A self-motivated, positive team player with initiative, a can-do approach and able to build rapport at all levels

§ Able to work within tight deadlines, demonstrating a flexible approach to deliver tasks and projects to time and with high quality outputs

§ Excellent IT skills, with extensive experience of Word, Excel and PowerPoint

§ Curiosity, drive and a desire to learn new skills and ideas

§ Happy to support other individuals and teams when needed

§ Experience or qualification in marketing or equivalent would be advantageous but not essential
