Business Management Associate, Distribution Strategy & Execution, EMEA

Full-time with flexibility

Work with senior leaders within our Distribution function to devise and execute business strategy

Your Team

The COO distribution team includes our distribution strategy team that is responsible for articulating our EMEA Distribution Strategy & Execution and five key sales enablement teams. These are the Customer Relationship Management technology team responsible for ensuring CRM is a fundamental "can't be without"-tool for Distribution, the digital sales team that facilitates lead generation using digital engagement, the Investment Analysis team that supports our clients through analytical capabilities, the Model Portfolio Services (MPS) team responsible for the commercialisation of our MPS proposition and the Distribution Oversight team that provides a first line of defence to the Distribution Leadership Team

Your Role

As the Business Management Associate in our Distribution Strategy & Execution, EMEA team, you will play a meaningful role in supporting the successful delivery of business management support, as well as strategic and regulatory initiatives across Distribution. This is a great opportunity for an experienced strategy and execution specialist to use their project and change management skills to really make a difference

You will be responsible for:
  • The day to day business management support tasks within Distribution, covering recurring items and ad hoc project work which helps maximise our strategic position
  • Working on strategic projects, collaborating across the Distribution function and other departments to create, plan and implement programmes
  • Contributing to business planning to help deliver actionable outcomes
  • Playing a key role in building internal alignment with partners on the investment teams, marketing, product and key account management
  • Providing great ideas on how to innovate and evolve the distribution process
  • Management of strategic projects including setting up appropriate project governance, developing a plan, collaborating across departments, oversee business requirements and successful implementation
  • Contributing to the EMEA Distribution business planning, identifying, tracking, and executing relevant actions to deliver results

Have the autonomy to make an impact

To be successful in this role you have:
  • Shown asset management business strategy and/or business management support experience, preferably with a focus on project management and business change
  • Preferably previous experience acquired either at a consultancy firm or a similar role at an asset manager
  • Knowledge of the EMEA asset management distribution landscape, including client segment trends
  • Willingness to learn
  • Good degree or equivalent and probably an CFA/MBA
  • Project management skills or qualification preferred but not crucial

You are able to:
  • Work analytical and structured, with strong attention to detail
  • Deliver in a fast-paced environment with timelines
  • Be an effective team member and work across a diverse firm, but able to progress tasks and initiatives autonomously
  • Be self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership, outspoken follow through and able to work without close supervision
  • Work in a multi-stakeholder environment, quickly form positive working partnerships
  • Influence others across functions, handle stakeholders, and mobilise resources from other business parts
  • Execute across teams and drive projects
  • Interact with emotional intelligence and to adapt approaches to different partners, to get them on board
  • Coordinate and prioritise multiple demands effectively
  • Communicate written and verbal on a high level in English and preferable and additional language (German and/or Italian in particular)
