Facebook is seeking an experienced program manager with a track record of growing strategic programs, including navigating ambiguous situations, managing short and long-term project milestones, and identifying solutions to remove roadblocks. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, detail oriented, and resourceful with broad knowledge of UX Research. You will work collaboratively with key stakeholders across Research, Legal, and Sourcing teams to ensure we can rapidly respond to highly dynamic vendor requirements. You will be able to anticipate project issues and resolve them, effectively prioritize competing needs with good reasoning and creative solutions, connect resources to research needs, and effectively communicate updates to large audiences. Influencing how research is conducted with external vendors, developing and maintaining key UX Research vendor relationships and strategies.

Required Skills

  • Create, scale and execute strategic programs to optimize EMEA and APAC Research Vendor needs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to support the UX Purchasing process for global Facebook Research teams
  • Create strong relationships with UX Research Directors, Managers and Researchers to assess, source, and vet new vendors based on identified Research needs.
  • Manage education initiatives and develop resources around Vendor policies and how to best partner with the Business Operations team
  • Establish and foster strong working relationships with Global Vendor partners
  • Develop strong XFN Partnerships to move APAC and EMEA Vendor initiatives forward, raise concerns to appropriate owners early and resolve open issues that prevent progress.
  • Advocate for UX Research when progress is in jeopardy while maintaining respectful relationships
  • Drive Business Operations process improvements by proactively optimizing workflows, distributing pertinent information, and predicting roadblocks and removing obstacles
  • Partner with global Research Operations Program Managers to identify shared Vendor challenges, develop solutions, and establish relationships with key central stakeholders


Minimum Qualification

  • 3+ years of relevant or related Program or Project Management experience
  • 1 year vendor partnerships, or in-house agency experience
  • Excellent organization skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities and effectively communicate findings to stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience communicating effectively with internal and external audiences, including users, leadership, peers, and cross-functional partners
  • Track record of operating independently, demonstrating creativity, being detail-oriented, and delivering results in a highly organized manner in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Experienced working in complex compliance or regulatory environments with diverse stakeholders, knowing when to triage to appropriate parties
  • Experienced with designing data-driven program strategies and communicating with data to drive change
  • Some travel required, up to 10%


Preferred Qualification

  • General knowledge of Research and/or UX design
  • International Vendor Partnership experience
  • Prior experience with procurement, vendor/suppliers, or purchasing
