Our TrustCambridge University Hospitals (CUH) NHS Foundation Trust comprises Addenbrooke's Hospital and the Rosie Hospital in Cambridge. With over 10000 staff and over 1100 beds the priorities of the Trust focus on a quality service which is all about people - patients, staff and partners. Recognised as providing 'outstanding' care to our patients and rated 'Good' overall by the Care Quality Commissioner, is testament to the skill and dedication of the people who work here. CUH's values - Together- safe, kind, excellent - are at the heart of patient care, defining the way all staff work and behave. The Trust provides accessible high-quality healthcare for the local people of Cambridge, together with specialist services, dealing with rare or complex conditions for a regional, national and international population.

Cambridge Children's aspires to be more than a hospital. We are seeking a visionary new approach to healthcare for children and young people across the east of England. We will treat the whole child or young person with an innovative model of co-located physical and mental healthcare and research, engaging talent from around the region and further afield.Research is shining a spotlight on the fundamental connection between the mind and body enabling doctors to provide tailor-made medical interventions alongside psychologically informed care in purpose-built settings.Delivering the right care for children and young people, in the right place at the right time, will improve outcomes over their whole lifetime. The East of England is the only region in the UK without a purpose built children's hospital. Together we will build a new model of paediatric care in the East of England that will help set standards nationally and internationally through innovation and embedded research.Using up to £100m of Public money announced in December 2018 by Health Secretary Matt Hancock, plus a further £20m of Public funds via a contribution from CPFT, we will build a new specialist integrated physical and mental health children's hospital on land adjacent to Addenbrooke's Hospital at the heart of the Cambridge Biomedical Campus - Europe's leading life science hub, offering unique opportunities for the NHS to benefit from the many prestigious research institutions on site, such as the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, the Cambridge Institute of Medical Research, and the Wellcome Trust-MRC Institute of Metabolic Science. To develop this proposition further the University of Cambridge (UoC), Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHSFT (CPFT) and Cambridge University Hospitals NHSFT (CUH) are working together with our staff, patients and service users, and the public, to develop the necessary business cases required by the Government's capital investment approvals process. The Strategic Outline Case (SOC) is currently with NHSI, DHSC and HMT for approval, concurrently work has commenced on the Outline Business Case (OBC).

You will occupy a pivotal role in delivering the next phase of this high-profile and complex project, ensuring the overall integrity and coherence of the programme of work is maintained. The role is also crucial for creating and maintaining focus, enthusiasm and momentum.
