Campaigns and Public Affairs Manager (London)

Job description
RNIB's Policy and Campaigns team is responsible for changing society and government policy to break down the barriers to equal participation for blind and partially slighted people in everyday life.

Working as part of an ambitious team, you'll create a structured online and offline volunteering programme enabling us to empower blind and partially sighted people to campaign on the issues that matter to them. You'll mobilise our community to help shape our campaigns, get behind our top campaigning issues, and help produce creative campaign content. You'll also be responsible for overseeing and growing our public affairs function, with our 118 RNIB MP Champions, making sure Parliament acts on issues important to blind and partially sighted people.

You'll have significant experience in campaigns, public affairs or both, with a track record of making real change. You'll have a proactive attitude and an understanding of how to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences, and great attention to detail. You'll need to feel comfortable in a multi-skilled team, coordinating projects to achieve our campaigning outcomes. Based in London, the post may involve occasional travelling to other locations throughout the UK.
