As a member of our support team you'll be integral to helping our customers to be independent. Working in our supported living scheme with a variety of people you will be motivated by seeing them develop as you work with them. You'll be an empathetic individual with a natural flair in building relationships with all age groups. We currently have various hours available.
If you're new to care we'll help introduce you and train you to build your experience in our sector. As a disability confident and inclusive employer we'll always be delighted to hear from you.
With over 80 care sites you will have access to all career progression within our business (you could even apply to join our housing division). At induction stage you'll find out all the great ways you can develop professionally too.
Our ideal candidate will possess a passion for working in the care sector and will appreciate the importance of providing care for individuals with learning difficulties. We are looking for a Support Worker to join us who will go that extra mile whilst working as part of our team. If you are confident, reliable and interested in supporting people to live independently then you will play an instrumental part of this supportive team.
As a Support Worker you will:
- Be willing to provide personal care to males and females
- Have experience of working with older persons
- Be flexible to work a variety of shift patterns during these hours including some evening, weekend and bank holiday work.
- Hold a current NVQ level 2 in Care or equivalent (desirable).
- Be confident, reliable and interested in supporting people to live independently.
- Be able to establish positive relationships and a good team player.
- Demonstrate empathy, patience, humour and a ‘can do’ attitude.
