An opportunity has arisen for a temporary Care and Repair Manager based in Cumbernauld. Care and Repair provides a small repairs and handyperson service for older and disabled people throughout North Lanarkshire.

The Job

An opportunity has arisen for a temporary Care and Repair Manager based in Cumbernauld. Care and Repair provides a small repairs and handyperson service for older and disabled people throughout North Lanarkshire. The post-holder will be the first point of contact for clients and line manager of the trades staff. This is an ideal position for someone with excellent administrative skills who is looking to develop their line management experience.

This role requires excellent customer service skills as well as the ability to plan and organise work within the service. You will also have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop effective and professional relationships with clients, colleagues and stakeholders including healthcare professionals and contacts within North Lanarkshire Council.

The role involves a small amount of work outside usual office hours, such as giving talks to community groups in the evenings to promote the service.

You will need:  

Proven experience of providing administrative support services

Experience of working within a service providing support services to vulnerable groups

Accomplished time management skills and ability to plan effectively to prioritise workloads to ensure deadlines are achieved

IT skills and excellent knowledge of Microsoft systems (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); ability to format documents to a high standard

Experience of delivering quality customer-focused services
