Care Team Leader

To help us deliver this ambitious vision, we are now looking for a Care Team Leader to join our team supporting our Bircham House (Sawston) and Willowbank (Chesterton) sites. Equally split between the two you will work closely with the Service Manager to ensure the highest level of care is provided to our customers. The sites for this role are commutable from locations such as Bar Hill, Cambridge, Haverhill, Newmarket and Royston.
When you join us as a Care Team Leader you will be supporting two Extra Care schemes providing care to older persons. You will work a split between both sites supporting the Service Manager to ensure the highest level of care is provided to all our customers.
Beginning your career with us we will provide you with all the necessary training, knowledge and PPE to be successful in this role. You will have responsibility for leading a care team and ensuring their performance indicators are achieved whilst the customer remains at the heart of all the work you do. You will have a good understanding of care quality commission standards and your work will personally help to improve the lives of others by encouraging them to live as independently with dignity as possible.
Every day is different, and you will support the care management of our customers and you will have a fantastic opportunity to help lead the schemes being involved in the recruiting of staff, coaching and appraisals. You’ll be a real people person and help to continue our “can do” environment.
Being in it together with your team you will also ensure that there is enough cover in each site, ensure on calls work effectively and ensure all risk assessments and safeguarding issues are recorded in accordance with our standards.
To be successful in this role you will have a proven experience working in the care sector, you will have achieved your level 3 in Health and Social care and have a high level of knowledge around CQC standards and safeguarding.
You’ll have experience of working with older customers and you will be confident in leading your team to continually provide a heartfelt service. You’ll be comfortable in developing your team to be high performing whilst delivering always excellent care.
Having previous experience of lone working and a working knowledge of Health and Safety within a care setting would also be advantageous to your application.
