We are looking for a Release and Environment Manager to join our Core Ad Tech Team.
Responsible for developing and maintaining products to support the selling and transmitting adverts on ITV’s broadcast channels.
This role entails…
The focus is on driving business transformation and enabling innovation and business agility for the future of advertising at ITV.
The Core Ad Tech platform consists of a number of applications which support ITV’s 1.5bn+ linear advertising business. The team consists of a number of in-house agile based development teams plus a key 3rd party system called Landmark. You will be responsible for working with the teams and suppliers to manage the non production environments across the platform, as well as managing releases and changes.
There are particular responsibilities for the Landmark II application. You will be working closely with the application supplier and will be responsible for managing the configuration of ITV’s Landmark II and associated environments, so that business data and test data is setup to support integration and testing.
You will own the Release Management lifecycle which includes scheduling, coordinating and the management of releases across the platform for multiple applications across various portfolios. The releases can be inclusive of application updates, operating system patches, security improvements and hardware upgrades.
Some Key Responsibilities:

Maintaining a comprehensive and up to date repository of the previous, currently deployed and planned future sets of environment variables against each Landmark II environment instance.

Acting as point of contact for the ITV Core Ad Tech development teams , Third Party Suppliers and users for planning and implementing deployments/releases for Core Ad Tech Platforms

Apply a structured methodology and lead release management activities.

Communicating the current and planned future configurations/environment variables on the Core Ad Tech platform as required and including gathering requirements for each deployment cycle for Landmark and ensuring the Third Party Supplier enact them when required.

Working with Third Party Supplier DBAs to manage and implement a strategy and policy for storage management and retention, including the management of DB checkpoints, DB unloads and backups to SAN and tape storage.

Reviewing and approving Implementation Plans and Change Requests.

Ensure deployment and release artefacts are in place in line with industry best practice. E.g release process model, run book etc

Ensure incidents and lessons learned are acted upon and status provided to ITV
-
Managing Landmark II release implementation, communications, documentation etc.

Ensuring the management of the server resources complies with the agreed strategy and policy.

Providing visibility into the DB server storage utilisation at agreed intervals.

Managing the delivery of deployments and upgrades.

Raising Change Requests and scheduling implementations.

Integrate Change Management activities into a project plan

Manage the portfolio and change load with Core Ad Tech

Plan and give weekly updates on the release activities

Maintain documentation related to procedures on build and release, various notifications lists, and dependencies.
To be considered for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate the following skills:

Desirable Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Required experience in release and/or project management experience
-
A solid understanding of technology change and the change process and of project management principles preferred, experience in information systems operations environment in systems analysis or development.

Track record of managerial experience working in complex technology platforms and experience of managing risk

Change management certification desired eg CCMP, CM

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, able to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences

Has the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships and the ability to to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.

Ability to work in a team environment with internal and external vendor resources
-
Proactive and able to work independently.

Ability to provide detailed information and also summarize to a management level and able to influence at all levels of the organization

Tenacity to work through problems and reach a solution

Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics
