The Children’s Garden Hosts will support visitors wishing to use the newly opened Children’s Garden. The hosts will manage the capacity of the Garden, maintain our safeguarding policies as they apply to the Garden and ensure the safety and security of the Visitors. This will be a high-pressure role dealing with family visitors who may not have access for some time due to capacity management and the successful candidates will be able to actively engage with a diverse audience.


This post will work on a roster of four working days followed by two days off. Shift lengths vary and cover the opening hours of the Garden from 10am to 5pm in winter, and 8pm in early summer. Hosts work throughout the week including weekends and Bank Holidays.

Successful candidates will have experience working with public in a very busy leisure or retail environment preferably with an understanding of safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults.

The salary will be £19,750 per annum (pro rata).
