Job Title - Class 2 ADR Driver
Salary - £11.46ph **** plus Veolia benefits *listed below
Location - Veolia, D4 Red Scar Ind Est, Longridge Road, Preston, Lancashire, PR2 5NQ
Hours - Full time, Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week. Nights out will be required (average 2 to 3 times per week).
What you’ll do
We are looking for a Class 2 ADR Driver to join our team at our Preston site. You will be responsible for driving and operating a rigid 26T cantilever tail lift vehicle collecting Hazardous Waste from various clients. Other duties include:
Undertaking the necessary daily checks as per the Drivers/Operator handbook
Ensuring that each day all completed work is detailed on your daily worksheet and that they are handed in daily/weekly along with the daily vehicle check sheets, fuel receipts and Weighbridge tickets
Complying with all traffic laws and legislation with relation to your duties including the security and weight of loads
Ensuring that the carriageway is left in a clean condition and any spillages are cleaned up before leaving the area.
This job does entail elements of manual handling by use of pump truck and drum trolly, full training will be given.
The experience you will need
Cat C (Class 2) licence and experience
Excellent understanding of health and safety
Curtain side/tail lift experience

Where you’ll work
The position is based out of our Preston Hazardous waste transfer station, where you will work closely with the site staff and operatives in making sure correct packaging is loaded for the next day’s deliveries and collections. Waste material is delivered onto the site, which is then segregated and repackaged for onward transport.
