An opportunity has arisen in the Health Boards Clinical Applications, Implementation, Support and Training Team (CAIST) for a full time band 3 Clinical Applications Support Officer, Fixed term/secondment until end of March 2022. CAIST are a team of highly motivated staff who seek to promote, train and support the use and users of Clinical IT systems in the Health Board.

The role will be based in various hospital sites supporting nurses and clinicians on the wards using CareFlow to record patient observations along with the wider Digital Ward Programme. You will have excellent customer service, communications and interpersonal skills.

CareFlow is the current system being used to record and manage patient's observations electronically in both Nevill Hall Hospital, Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr, The Royal Gwent and Ysbyty Aneurin Bevan. The successful candidate will be expected to gain and maintain an in-depth knowledge of relevant systems, policies and procedures within the Health Board to train and support the use of electronic patient records.
