We are looking to recruit 2 experienced ACC qualified Clinical Coders to join our developing Clinical Coding Department at Mid Cheshire Hospital in Crewe. This is a band 4 post with R & R.

The post holder will be enthusiastic, highly motivated and reliable and be able to accurately code patient activity within prescribed timescales, whilst adhering to national and local standards, in line with realistic productivity targets.

The ability to prioritise, plan and organise work as well as use initiative and work as part of a wider team are essential to this role. MCHFT's Clinical Coding Department is extremely fast paced therefore the ability to remain calm under pressure and stay professional is also required.

We are a forward thinking Clinical Coding Department who are dedicated to personal staff development, continuous improvement and service redevelopment. As an experienced Clinical Coder, you must have clinical coding experience in a number of specialties and have obtained your ACC accreditation. You will need to demonstrate that you can adhere to Clinical Coding Standards and have an excellent understanding of medical terminology, clinical terms and anatomy and physiology.

The successful applicant can expect training and development throughout the year, individual audits to ensure the standard of coding is in line with the expectations of the Trust, as well as the benefits of a Team Leader for additional support if necessary. A retention based premia is also given to experienced, accredited Band 4 Clinical Coders.
