North Middlesex University Hospital is one of London's busiest acute hospitals, serving more than 350,000 people living in Enfield and Haringey and the surrounding areas, including Barnet and Waltham Forest.

We are an integrated provider with a full range of adult, elderly and children's services across medical and surgical disciplines including community 0-19 yr old services in Enfield. Our specialist services include stroke, HIV/AIDS, cardiology, haematology, diabetes, fertility and orthopaedics. Our sickle cell and thalassaemia department is nationally recognised as a leading centre for these diseases. Every day, on average, we see 500 patients in A&E; 15 babies are born in our maternity unit; about 450 inpatients are cared for on our wards; about 50 patients have major or minor surgery in one of our 10 operating theatres; and about 800 people attend our outpatients clinics.

Clinical Effectiveness Facilitator

The Clinical Audit & Effectiveness Department at North Mid has a unique opportunity for an individual to join a team aiming to improve quality and safety in patient care and be able to support and demonstrate good practice and quality improvements that take place across our services to enable the Trust to deliver excellent healthcare to the public within the area.

We are looking to recruit a self-motivated, skilled and committed Clinical Effectiveness Facilitator to provide support to the Head of Clinical Audit and Improvement in order to improve the outcomes for patients, the experience for patients and staff and have excellent value for money of trust services.

The post holder will be a key member of our Clinical Audit & Effectiveness Department, providing support to help maintain and deliver a range of clinical audit & effectiveness activities across the Trust, including coordination and oversight of the Trust mortality review process .

Our Quality Governance teams work together to promote and support a culture of learning and quality improvement across all aspects of patient care and experience within the Trust, so that the services we provide excellent outcomes for patients, an excellent experience for patients and staff and have excellent value for money of trust services.

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of administrative systems and experience of working with IT systems and databases, together with knowledge, understanding and experience of Clinical Audit and Effectiveness.
