Job Description

Our Commercial Development Manager has an exciting brand new opportunity for a dynamic and ambitious Commercial Development Executive to join their team and really shape and develop the full potential of this role.

As a Commercial Development Executive your primary responsibility will be to achieve the company's revenue target for new business in line with the company's strategy for customer size, type and service mix and retaining and developing existing accounts within an agreed portfolio.

Key responsibilities will include;
  • To identify and develop a personal prospect funnel sufficient in size to fund new business targets as laid down in the company's strategic plan

  • Monitor performance of new customers to ensure they trade to agreed profile and terms. Agree and deliver action plans if variances occur and take steps to improve if profitability is not at an acceptable level.

  • Successful handover of new accounts trading above £750 per week to the relevant member of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Team within the first 12 weeks of trade

  • To achieve productivity target as agreed and gain at least 8 new prospects per week

  • Contact existing customers at regular intervals to identify additional revenue streams to achieve yearly revenue target

  • Find a mutually satisfactory resolution to queries/issues raised by customers to underpin long term account retention

  • To embrace all new products as and when launched by the company

  • To obtain all the correct documentation required to process a credit facility to a minimum of ISO standard

  • To strive for the 100+ qualification criteria each year


About You

Your career history will clearly be able to evidence success within a sales or similar environment and a tenacious attitude and drive to succeed in a fast paced sales environment.

Your outstanding communication, persuading and influencing skills will be fully utilised in this role as will your ability to focus on your customers to fully understand their needs and gain their commitment.

A full clean driving licence is essential
