Communications Support Officer (Digital)
Citizens Advice offers confidential advice online, over the phone, and in person, for free. Through our national network of charities, we give people the knowledge and the confidence they need to find their way forward – whoever they are, and whatever their problem.
We particularly welcome applications from disabled and Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) candidates as BAME and disabled people are currently under-represented throughout Citizens Advice. We are a member of the race equality campaign at Business in the Community, the Prince’s responsible business network and are committed to improving employment opportunities for ethnic minorities across the UK. We also welcome applications from, LGB and Trans and non binary candidates.
We have made a positive commitment to employing disabled people and guarantee to interview all disabled candidates who meet the minimum essential criteria for the role as set out in role profiles.
Citizens Advice provides free, independent and impartial advice and information to help people resolve their problems. Each year our local offices across the country help 2.8 million people with their problems — either through face-to-face or telephone advice, or online. Our data allows us to spot emerging issues quickly, making us uniquely placed to raise awareness of these issues and advocate for solutions.
We’re looking for a Communications Support Officer (digital) to work with our busy digital communications team on public-facing communications and support the communications and engagement department with staff and network audience engagement.
The communications and engagement department is responsible for all of Citizens Advice’s staff, network and public-facing communications to influence and engage our varied audiences. We use a range of channels including digital, media, events and print materials.
As the Communications Support Officer, you’ll monitor our social media channels, create content for a range of channels, support people across the organisation with queries about communications and create newsletters. You'll also provide administrative support for the communications and engagement team and work on different projects and events.
You’ll need to be organised and efficient, have experience of juggling multiple tasks and writing for different platforms. You’ll work well in a team and be proactive and ready to support across varying projects.
Our offices are currently closed due to coronavirus, with employees working from home. However, once the offices reopen, you’re still welcome to work from home. We’re open to discussion about flexible working.
If you have any questions or want to chat about the role, you can contact Emily Nix by emailing email@example.com with your question, or to arrange a call.
