An exciting opportunity has arisen to provide clinical leadership and management to the Tavistock Older Persons Community Mental Health Team on a part time basis.

About you

The post holder will provide line management and take a lead role in providing community mental health services for older persons as a Clinical Team Leader in a specified locality. They will provide effective professional and managerial leadership through appropriate modelling of behaviours and skills and/or direct supervision. They will deliver against a set of key performance indicators and ensure the quality and safety of service provision. They will have the people using the service at the forefront of their decision making and will support staff to deliver safe and effective services.

The post holder will be expected to occasionally act as a peripatetic support and as required by the General Manager be responsive to the needs of the wider Locality Delivery Unit (LDU) by supporting the other Community Mental Health Teams in the area. The Post holder will also at times be asked to develop projects and pilots in the LDU in line with the transformational plans of the OPMH directorate.

The location

Your base will be in Tavistock, however under the current COVID-19 conditions this may be subject to alternative arrangements/change for example home working.
