Computer Vision Engineer - Facebook Reality Labs Responsibilities

  • Invent, analyze, design, develop and optimize VR and AR computer vision algorithms in areas related to visual localization, SLAM, 3D reconstruction, mapping, tracking, sensor fusion and context/semantic understanding

  • Collaborate in a team environment across multiple scientific and engineering disciplines, making the architectural trade-offs required to rapidly deliver software solutions

  • Develop software for a variety of consumer devices

  • Write clean readable code, debug complex problems that span systems, prioritize ruthlessly and get things done with a high level of efficiency

  • Learn constantly, dive into new areas with unfamiliar technologies, and embrace the ambiguity of AR and VR problem solving

Minimum Qualifications

  • M.Sc. in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering

  • 3+ years of C++ experience and have used C++ in the last 2 years, including modern C++ features

  • Expertise in Computer Vision (preferred: 3D modeling, SLAM, Localization, 3D reconstruction, context/semantic understanding or sensor fusion technologies)

  • Proven track record of software development, including shipping one or more products to users

  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering

  • 2+ years of experience in Python programming (prototyping, research, visualization, data analysis, tools, infra)

  • Experience in shipping Computer Vision product to customers

  • Expertise in Machine Learning or Deep Learning

  • Experience with autonomous systems, robotics
