Consultation Manager Phase 2b (Community and Stakeholder Engagement)

As the Consultation Manager Phase 2b you will be responsible for the development and implementation of strategies and plans for the running of compliant consultations to support the development of the phase 2B scheme.

About the role:
  • Work across HS2 and DfT to design and implement strategies for running legally compliant consultations;
  • Produce all relevant external facing materials to support the consultation process, such as consultation document, event banners, leaflets;
  • Project manage the process from preparation to close out, including preparation of a programme, resource plan, procurement of specialist services;
  • Manage the consultation response analysis process working with an external provider. Input into the consultation response document and advice to HS2 boards and Government;
  • Design and implement a training programme for the multidisciplinary team to allow them to best support the consultation process;
  • Actively promote and embed equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all your work and support and comply with organisational initiatives, policies and procedures on EDI.


Qualifications:

About you:
  • Experience of working on projects with impact on communities;
  • Experience of working with national or local government or statutory organisations on consultation programmes;
  • Experience of working across multi disciplinary teams to deliver projects;
  • Experience of working with a supply chain to support delivery of activities;
  • Written skills to produce public facing documents;
  • Communication skills to inform, influence and negotiate across teams;
  • Project management skills to allow delivery of projects to agreed time and budget;
  • Knowledge of public consultation processes and legal framework.
