We have a great opportunity for a Contract Supervisor covering our North East Neighbourhoods within the Direct Maintenance Team.

This is a key position within the heart of the Direct Maintenance Team and the successful applicant will have an opportunity to play a part in delivering an excellent service to our residents.

 

Contract Supervisors are responsible for managing contractors in our resident's homes across our North East Neighbourhoods, covering Havering, Walham Forest & surrounding areas

You will be responsible for ensuring that the subcontractors under your supervision comply with all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements and adhere to the Company's systems and procedures.

Review in conjunction with the delivery team, sub-contract resource requirements within the area of responsibility, monitoring sub-contractors KPI’s, contractual obligations and all compliance matters.

You would also be responsible for managing contract performance, addressing performance failures, post inspections, dispute resolution, operational & financial matters, and identifying areas for improvement in your company’s contracting processes.

Effective relationship and stakeholder management, excellent communication (both written and verbal) and influencing skills will be essential for this role as you will be working collaboratively with other departments/teams and residents to ensure the effective delivery of the day-to-day in-house maintenance service.

You will have good knowledge of contract management, demonstrable experience of working in and delivering high quality and efficient building/estates/housing maintenance services and will have excellent organisation & people management skills to influence and mentor.  

Duties will include:

·        Contract management of sub-contractors inclusive of KPI’s, benchmarking, financials, performance, managing compliance & risk.

·        Ensuring work is allocated to the appropriate contractor as and when the work cannot be carried out by one of our in-house Technicians

·        Carrying out surveys of properties with reports and remedial works as necessary

·        Preparing work specifications and obtaining quotes for Reactive work to be carried out by contractors

·        Authorising spends up to an agreed level while maximising cost efficiency

·        Maintaining records and notes on the system

 

A full driving licence is essential as there will be travel to properties.
