Education plays a significant role in the current context and future ambition of the University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust, and an ongoing commitment to education is a core part of the Trust's strategy.

Now is an exciting time to join the Trust Services' education team at UHBW which supports a wide and diverse range of education for both clinical and non-clinical development across the Bristol and Weston locations. Following the implementation of an education strategy, and as part of a newly merged organisation, a number of new and existing vacancies have now become available to help support the Trust and our external partners' ambition, to become a beacon of outstanding education.

This role will develop and manage complex, diverse internal and external contracts as part of the quality assurance of education and training providers to the Trust. The role has a particular focus on managing the infrastructure of education, such as the regular reporting, audit and updates required by external agencies in order for the Trust to provide education. This will have a particular focus upon the Trust's reporting of the apprenticeship provision and wider community engagement programmes, with such organisations as the Education Skills Funding Agency and inspector organisations such as Ofsted. The post holder will have a thorough knowledge of data management and data reporting to external agencies, such as the Education Skills Funding Agency. Therefore, the appointee will have an effective knowledge and experience of key regulatory authorities, as well as an ability to routinely monitor the relationships and agreements between key stakeholders within and external to the Trust, such as universities, private training providers and colleges.

It will also have oversight for the effective management of commercial education contracts. The post requires the oversight and management of internal and external training and education contracts. Therefore the post holder is required to liaise with external training providers to ensure their compliance, and the Trust's, with training contracts. The post holder is required to work with the education quality team in developing and monitoring the quality assurance process for education.
