Job Description

We are looking for an individual with between least 2 to 4 years' experience to join the ACE team.This role of Data Analyst is to work with either the Head of Analytics or the Analytics Director on analytics projects for Spark Foundry clients. The types of projects will vary, but an individual with expertise in Marketing Mix Modelling is preferred. The role would involve working across all stages of a project, from data collection through to modelling, insight generation and presentation.

This role will suit an individual who has developed a solid analytical understanding in their early years within the industry and would like to develop these skills further. We are looking for someone who enjoys seeing their work influence client's decisions and understands the need for clear recommendations from analytics projects to enable this. We are looking for someone who would enjoy being part of a small but ambitious team and would enjoy the opportunities this would present them.

Responsibilities & Requirements

The role of Data Analyst is responsible for:
  • Collecting data from relevant sources, checking for accuracy and formatting for analytics
  • Conducting the appropriate analytics techniques on the data. This will focus on Market Mix Modelling but will also include a wider range of techniques such as portfolio management and digital analytics.
  • Crafting practical and implementable media recommendations from the results of a project.
  • Communicating results to internal teams, and establishing buy-in
  • Answering client queries and running scenarios
  • Working within a team of 2-3 people to ensure project deliverables are produced on time.
The individual we are looking to hire will:
  • Possess a degree in Economics, Statistics, or another STEM subject.
  • Be highly numerate and analytical
  • Have strong problem-solving skills
  • Be highly diligent and be able to conduct analysis with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Have a proven ability to convert analysis into real world actionable solutions
  • Show ability to identify and deal with client issues before they get out of hand
  • Understand marketing strategy and business issues across clients.
  • Have experience conducting econometric modelling - ideally in the field of marketing
  • Show a good understanding of MMM model output implications on media planning
  • Have experience using modelling platforms (e.g. EViews, MassTer, Stata etc.)
  • Have excellent knowledge of the Microsoft suite (Excel, Powerpoint),
  • Experience of other analytics techniques is desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of a programming language (such as R/Python) is desirable but not essential
