You could help make it possible...

This role leads a crucial part of the Insight & Governance model, by providing the thought leadership and excellent execution of data sources and insight across these hugely significant important parts of the Group for our customers. Responsible also for leading on the automation of our processes.

What would you be getting involved with?

  • Identifies and assesses risks to ensure risk is well managed within the Bank's risk appetite
  • Acts as a source of professional expertise to mitigate the potential for risk - and ensures systems and processes are fit for purpose
  • Implements, or manages the implementation of, processes to deliver Group Risk policy - and oversight and assurance within business areas, agreeing remediation plans as necessary
  • Undertake complex reviews/analyses in terms of scale, scope and specialism
  • Recognised by peers as a high level subject matter expert - ability to be sole representative for the area
  • Plans and executes agreed risk management projects to achieve continuous improvement

Key accountabilities…
Analyse, investigate and evaluate risk, develop recommendations and challenge and advise areas of the business to ensure risks are understood, mitigated and controlled. Lead a team of risk professionals and deputise for senior colleagues.

  • Set strategy and direction for the production/delivery of accurate and timely data to support a range of risk management processes
  • Drive improvement across all aspects of data quality and validation, working collaboratively across COO Business Risk
  • Pro-actively manage data to enable performance to be tracked and improved
  • Explore and encourage new technologies to drive efficiencies
