This is an exciting time to work as an information professional at St George's. The Trust has decided to tackle its long-standing data quality problems head on, and has a strong positive vision of how it will build on currently implemented systems and solutions, phase out legacy systems and resolve the causes of data quality issues directly at their root cause. The data quality function within the Information Department needs to staff up significantly to ensure the Trust delivers on this chosen strategic direction.

We are looking for an individual with the right attitude and the right skillset to join the department in the role of Data Quality Senior Officer/Analyst.

This is a varied role where you can expect to learn a lot about clinical and information systems and business processes at the Trust.

The Data Quality Senior Officer & Analyst role embraces both 'management' and 'data analytics' elements. The post holder will be responsible for:
  • Managing the execution of the regular data quality processes to ensure the Trust holds the most accurate patient information on the Trust database. This includes the management of both human and technological resources.
  • Extracting and scrutinising volumes of data from large relational databases to identify understand and effectively deal with data quality issues. The post holder will be required to present complex data quality issues involving sensitive information to different audiences and levels; overcoming resistance and facilitating resolution.
  • Developing databases, producing data quality reports & dashboards for different services including Accident & Emergency and Critical Care, writing Standard Operating Procedures, updating the Trust data quality issues log, updating the Trust Information Standard Notices log and maintaining the data quality intranet page.
We would particularly welcome applications from individuals with experience using the Trust's major clinical systems, specifically Cerner Millennium (Access management/PM Office).
