We are currently looking for 2x Building Maintenance Shift Technicians to join our facilities/maintenance services team based at New Papworth Hospital, just outside of Cambridge.

This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to join a small team of highly skilled maintenance operatives delivering services to a world renowned hospital.

New Papworth Hospital is a 310 bed specialist Cardio Thoracic hospital, newly constructed on the science campus just outside Cambridge (adjacent to Addenbrookes Hospital).

The new hospital, which has been constructed under the PFI banner, will replace the existing Papworth Hospital situated in Papworth Everard Hospital.

You'll:
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of the building fabric and infrastructure associated with the Health Care estate. This will include.
  • Assisting in the maintenance and repair of the complete range of mechanical or electrical engineering services associated with the Health Care estate.
  • Working hours: 12 hour shifts over 4 day working pattern (4 x Days, 4 x Off, 4 x Nights, 4 x Off etc)

We're looking for:
  • Experience in the maintenance and repair of buildings
  • A can do attitude with the ability to resolve issues thinking outside the box
  • A willingness to learn new skills and attend training sessions to improve skill level
  • A qualification in a maintenance discipline would be advantageous
  • Completion of a structured training programme in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is desirable
  • Previous experience in a building maintenance role is essential
