We are looking for a Research Project Manager to join our Brand team in Amsterdam!

The role of the Research Project Manager is to provide oversight and management to client projects, while managing and working with the Offshore Delivery Centers for project execution. This involves working closely with key Stakeholders in Client facing teams, including liaising with the Client on all aspects of the delivery and scope of the Program.

As a Research Project Manager, you will oversee project financials, planning and instill a continuous improvement approach, identifying potential risks and mitigation. You will act as a consultant/expert for Client Service teams and Offshore Delivery Centers, providing management, advice, and guidance throughout the course of a project/program to all parties, ensuring on-time, on-budget project delivery.

Accountabilities

Project/Program Delivery
  • The overall success of the project delivery against the client agreed specifications
  • Providing consultancy and support to Client Management throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensuring each project has an effective design/data collection method and adopts Best Practices and standard Ways of Working across the end-to-end process
  • Managing and partnering with Kantar research and offshore delivery centers to deliver on project expectations
  • Managing the overall project timeline, proactively anticipating problems, recommending solutions to prevent delays and/or quality issues
  • Working through escalation raised by Onshore and Offshore teams giving guidance on how to best resolve the issue
  • Ensuring compliance with Local Data Privacy and IT security norms and guidelines

Commercial Management
  • Involved contribution in client pitches, ensuring operational design best practices are followed to guarantee efficient design
  • Costing operational part of the project scope, ensuring offshore delivery centre involvement
  • Managing the overall project scope and budgets to ensure project profitability
  • Monitoring financials and flagging risks and critical points to Client Service

Client Management
  • Partnering with Client Service on client pitches
  • Working through the project set up and specifics and inputting pertinent aspects
  • Understanding the Client's objectives and priorities, and how the Program delivers against these - ensuring Onshore and Offshore delivery teams are aligned
  • Overseeing the project scope with the Client, ensuring Client standards are followed, reaching out to domain experts as needed, driving collaboration, delegating responsibilities, and ensuring overall Client satisfaction
  • Delivering against the project specs and client specifications, ensuring clarity and completeness throughout the project/program
  • Liaising with the Client on project delivery and scope, as required, and working to resolve any issues that arise

Relationship and Stakeholder Management
  • Establishing strong partnerships with all key stakeholders, including Clients, Onshore teams, Offshore Operations and fieldwork suppliers, building credibility and rapport
  • Providing advice and expertise to deliver projects successfully, embracing collaborative behaviour and Ways of Working
  • Providing feedback noting what's working well and any areas for improvement
  • Work with all project stakeholders to ensure optimal delivery meeting budget requirements, or exceeding savings on budget due to effective management of project

  • Strong project management experience with ability to maintain good time management while prioritizing, delegating and delivering against multiple deadlines.
  • Proven experience in effective working with internal client teams liaising with clients
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a high level of emotional intelligence and intellectual curiosity
  • Innovative, possessing natural curiosity and a can-do attitude
  • Flexible, working under pressure adjusting to the changing work environment, prioritizing and adjusting to the needs of a project
  • Ability to coach and mentor junior staff

Qualifications and Experience

Academic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Any Project Management Certification will be an added advantage

Technical
  • Minimum 5 years of Primary Market Research experience (end to end Marketing Research cycle exposure)
  • Hands on Market Research program or project management experience is mandatory
  • Working knowledge and mid-level expertise in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Written/Spoken Business English language skill

Research Skills
  • In-depth knowledge of the end-to-end Market Research process
  • Strong knowledge of, and proven ability to advise on, Market Research techniques such as sampling, quota setting
  • Knowledge of Kantar product portfolio
