Job TitleDeployment Technical Team LeadPURPOSE To be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and supervising a high performing implementation team which sit in the customer Deployment function for SHL. Ensuring high-quality deliverables are continually delivered to time and on budget.
SCOPE OF ROLE Manages the implementation of technical delivery projects to client requirements.
Ensures that delivery quality metrics are consistently met which support broader deployment metrics.
Proactive in identifying ways of working which future proof the technology function to deploy at scale.
Work on deliverables to gain understanding of internal tools and products.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage people based in India to efficiently assure talent assessment and talent management solutions executed from within the Deployment function, to include:
    • Creation and maintenance of build guides to support the implementation of products using in-house tools.
    • Monitor utilization and distribute work across the Technology team.
    • Management of implementation team's quality of deliverables we build based on a pre-defined process.
    • Assist in the development of change control processes, practices, and guidelines for new and existing technologies - in partnership with manager.
    • Provide technical guidance to ensure the quality of our customer engagements.
    • Managing the day-to-day activities of the team.
    • Motivating the team to achieve organizational goals.
  • Manage and lead the team, including recruiting and on-boarding new staff, performance management, professional development, and team and individual level KPI adherence.
  • Constantly review and explore processes improvements to drive efficiencies in the deployment timeframe.
  • Work collaboratively across all Deployment functions and proactively manage internal stakeholder engagements.
  • Conducting training of team members to maximize their potential.
  • Conducting quarterly performance reviews.
  • Understanding of internal tools to support the build process.
  • Driving successful and timely issue resolution
  • Effective stakeholder communication, ensuring that the appropriate expectations are set.
  • Track record of successfully managing a team, with the ability to communicate a clear vision for the team and motivate them to achieve their goals.
  • Capable of successfully managing issue resolution
  • Comfortable managing deployments from an implementation perspective, with multiple different variables.
  • Written and spoken English fluency

  • Ability to use technology, act independently and take initiatives
  • Analytical with a high attention to detail
  • A continuous improvement mindset, open to feedback
  • Confidence to shape, guide and inform decisions
  • A commercial mindset, balancing practicality and simplicity with governance
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills to give the team direction
  • A working knowledge of JIRA or other ticketing systems.
  • SQL skills - desirable
  • Basic HTML skills - desirable
